I have loved animals all of my life. Caring for our old family dogs' infirmities helped me decide to become a veterinarian. My goal for your pet is to help you help them live a long, happy, healthy life. My huge interest outside the office is riding my bicycle.

I was born and raised in St. Louis. After graduating from Lindbergh high School I attended Jefferson College and became a licensed veterinary technician. After working as a technician for a year I decided to continue my education and obtain a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri Columbia in 1991. I have been practicing in and around the St. Louis area since then. When not working I enjoy spending time with friends, family and my 3 dogs and 4 cats.

Anne

Anne Tobik

For 32 years, I worked as a newspaper reporter and editor, the last 24 of them at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. I loved my job and got to cover many events including the Kentucky Derby and one of Elvis' last concerts. Then decided to take a buyout but wondered what I would do in my next phase. I had grown up liking animals but when our family got a Welsh Terrier, Toby, 11 years ago, I ended up LOVING dogs. So I wanted to work with dogs. I volunteered at Stray Rescue and was hired at Southwick Veterinary Clinic over 2 years ago. The only problem was that I had never had or worked with cats. In Stepped Alvin, a shy, wonderful gray house cat. Alvin showed me the ropes of working with cats. Now I LOVE cats, too. I have 3 children in their 20's, a nurse practitioner, a high school teacher and a son who plays baseball in the California Angels farm system. I walk dogs, sometimes as many as 8, daily and also care for people's cats. My husband Dave sometimes helps with the pet care.
